Famous Recipes: Blueberry Pancake Recipe

A pancake is one of the healthiest meals and blueberry pancakes in particular are a great source of energy thus making it an ideal food for breakfast. Blueberries are known to have the highest antioxidant capacity of all fruit. Complete with essential vitamins such as C, E and A, blueberries are also a rich source of copper, zinc, iron and selenium which are extremely beneficial for the immune system. Blueberries are also known to reduce wrinkles, belly fat and keep your eyesight sharp. Blueberries are also beneficial for the urinary tract, heart and also for the digestive system.

Apart from being a simple pancake recipe to make, pancakes can be made in a variety of different ways at home. Some of the most favored pancakes are the blueberry pancakes which are not only easy to make but are also known for their nutritional value.  

For making a blueberry pancake take 2 separated eggs, 2 spoons of baking powder, a cup and a half of flour, a cup of mils, 3 tablespoons of sugar, 3 of melted butter, salt to taste and a cup of fresh blueberries. Once all the ingredients are in place, put the eggs in a bowl and beat them, then take the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in another bowl and mix them all. After this mixture is ready put the egg yolks in another bowl and keep beating while adding the milk and butter simultaneously. Finally add the blueberries and then the egg whites to the mix and stir well. When all the ingredients are mixed properly it is time to bake the composition on a hot and greased griddle. 

There are a lot of combinations you can try in order to savor this perfect breakfast. American blueberry pancakes, potato pancakes and blueberry buckwheat pancakes, can all be tried while keeping all the basic ingredients same. Cranberries and bilberries can also be included in the pancake recipes.

Definitely, blueberry pancakes not only have a lot of health advantages, but they are also one of the most delicious breakfast choices one can have.
