Glaze for Bundt Cakes
Glaze is the simplest frosting. In this, powdered sugar is combined with a liquid to form a thin consistency. These are usually poured or drizzled over the tops of cakes and cookies and form a shiny hard crust when the glaze sets. Glaze can either be poured, drizzled or brushed on with a pastry brush on the outside of cakes or cookies, or in between cake layers for different looks.
Glazes contribute to flavor and richness. Improve appearance by giving desserts a smooth and/or shiny finish. Add a glassy look to fruit pies and tarts. Keep fruit cakes safe from turning brown and looking fresher longer.
This is a basic glaze for all types of Bundt cakes, tube cakes or coffee cakes.
