Springform Pan Gallery
Springform pan is a two-piece pan, which not has removable sides, but the bottom also comes out. It has a round base and an interlocking band, 2 to 3 inches high, forming the sides, opening and closing with the help of a flick of a latch. Before baking, the pan pieces are assembled, and then, after the contents have cooked and cooled, the band is opened and removed. They come in a number of sizes, shapes and metals. Most common of these are round 9" and 10" anodized aluminum or heavy-gage steel. They are available in many variations, out of which heart or star-shaped is the least common. It can be used for cakes, tortes and frozen desserts. It is best suited for making cheesecakes as they can collapse easily. |
